Jon Gower, writer and keen walker of the Welsh mountains, explores the unique characteristics of each of Wales’ five ranges and reflects on what they mean to the people who live among them.

I love finding new podcasts, especially those around history and nature. I found this series of podcasts all about the meaning of the welsh mountains with 5 episodes dedicated to all the various welsh ranges.

In the Snowdonia episode, Jon talks about the welsh meaning of Eryri, the rare Snowdon Lily with its contentious name change and majestic Cadair Idris amongst other little points of interest, it’s 15 minutes of escapism I thought I would share having stumbled across it.
