The Carneddau (anglicised as The Carnedds) are a beautiful range of mountains in Snowdonia which contain seven peaks over 3000ft. While they may not possess the raw ruggedness of the Glyderau or the imposing grandeur of the Snowdon massif, there are many spectacular walks with breath-taking mountain views. The Carneddau Mountains are home to the hardy and free roaming Carneddau ponies which you are highly likely to encounter on your walks in this area.
