Welsh Mountains over 2000ft Checklist – Free Download (aka Welsh Nuttalls)

free download list of highest mountains in snowdonia

Here is a free downloadable list of ‘distinct peaks’ in Snowdonia over 2000ft. The list is taken from the book Hill Walking in Snowdonia by E.G. Rowland which was first published in 1951. My Grandfather scribbled pencil lines to record his progress in the edition we had when I was growing up. I’ve since bought a more recent edition (shown above from 1972!), it’s a great read, with route guides to all the peaks in the list. Mountains over 2000ft are also called Nuttalls, this list of Welsh Nuttalls only includes those in Snowdonia Eryri.

  3. There are mountains missing from the list. Bera Mawr is on there, but the taller Bera Bach is missing.
Moel Lefn and Moel yr Ogof are included but not Moel Hebog?!

    2. Just had time to check – Hebog is included and also Bera Bach means small, so that one would be shorter not taller
