Coed Bryndansi, Colwyn Bay Short Walk

A dense forest scene featuring tall trees with a clear blue sky visible above, showcasing a natural woodland environment.

This is a great little woodland walk with multiple routes possible from the parking spot. I love walking through woodland and there are some beautiful sections in this pretty wooded area above Colwyn Bay. You will get views of the Dulas Valley and the Clwydian Range on this walk.

The photos here are from a spring walk when the gorse is in a full coat of pretty yellow blossom. There are also some bluebells in the wood, whilst not a carpet of them, they still look very pretty.

What does Coed Bryndansi mean in English?

Coed Bryndansi means Wood of the Hill Shelter. There has obviously been woodland here for many years but lots of it is managed woodland that is currently being harvested.

You really don’t need a route guide for these woods, but here’s a suggested circular walk that means you get the beautiful countryside views as well as the woodland walk.
